If you want to create a separate volume or Drive in your Pc. This post definitely is going to help you out. The Disk Partition or  Disk slicing is a process or function to create one or more Drives to manage your datum separately.

Why we should use Disk Partition?

Partitioning allows the use of different file systems to be installed for different kinds of files. Separating user data from system data will make you able to get all erased files safely if something corrupts the operating system. Partitioning can also make backing up easier.

Follow the steps to create a partition of your hard drive.

Make sure you are logging in as an Admin account.

1. Open Run command by Pressing Win+R and Type "diskmgmt.msc" & press Enter.

(you can also directly search it by typing "disk partition" in the search box.)

2. You'll see the list of all hard drives installed on your Pc. Right-click on the drive you want to create Partition > Click on "Shrink volume"

3. Enter the amount of space you want to shrink in Mb. Take help from the screenshot. Here I am Creating a separate Drive of 50Gb amount> Finally click on "Shrink".

4. Here you'll get an Unallocated Space of about 48Gb as a Separate drive. The next thing we gonna do is to install this driver on your Pc.

5. Right-click on Unallocated Space & Select "New Simple Volume".> Next> Next> Next> Next > Finish. You can also rename it with your desired name.
